Emma Brierre Boone's Obituary
Emma Brierre Boone, a resident of Covington, LA for over 20 years, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013. A native of New Orleans, she was born on Wednesday, November 19, 1924 to Theodore Francis and Elvina Wall Brierre. She lived most of her life in New Orleans. She loved her city and was proud of her heritage. She was active with the Junior League of New Orleans and was also a member of the Orleans Club and The Colonial Dames.
The beloved wife of the late David Pegues Boone, she is survived by four children: Susan Boone Davidson (John), Sally Boone Cromwell (Jon), Timothy D. Boone (Donna) and Theodore B. Boone (Cleon); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William Ferguson Kernan.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Ms. Bobbie, Lodi, Charlotte and the staffs at both St. Anna's and Christwood for their dedication to provide such exceptional care when called upon.
In honor of Mrs. Boone, the family gathered privately to celebrate her life and reflect upon her legacy. She was laid to rest with her husband at Cypress Grove Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
