Emile E. Tosso, Jr.'s Obituary
Emile E. Tosso, Jr. died Sunday July 22, 2007 at the age of 87. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Covington for over 42 years.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 10:00 AM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Wake Services will be Wednesday, July 25 from 6:00-9:00 PM with visitation Thursday from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow services at St. Louis Cemetery #3 in New Orleans.
Mr. Tosso was the Chief Mechanical Inspector of Jefferson Parish for 28 years, was a member of the American Federation of Musicians for over 65 years and was conductor of the Jerusalem Temple Shrine Band. He was also past master of Forum Lodge and A.U. Peterson Masonic Lodge.
The husband of Bonnie Lowe Tosso and father of Emile E., III and Robert V. Tosso, he is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Tosso was preceded in death by his first wife, Deborah Vautier Tosso; his father, Emile E. Tosso, conductor: Grand Opera House and Orpheum Theater; mother, Maud Bertoniere Tosso and his sister, Inez T. Cook.
