Emile Ernest Gracia's Obituary
Emile Ernest Gracia, 81, of Bush, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Emile was the son of Ernest Emile Gracia Sr. and Mary Gracia. He built a life grounded in faith, family, and hard work. A devout Christian, Emile loved the Lord and read his Bible daily. His unwavering faith guided the way he lived and the example he set for his family.
Emile devoted his career to building custom homes throughout southeast Louisiana. He took great pride in his craftsmanship, integrity, and the relationships he formed with homeowners and those who worked alongside him. He was known for doing things the right way and for the lasting quality of his work.
Outside of work, Emile enjoyed fishing, taking cruises with his family, and spending time outdoors. Above all, he cherished time with his family. Whether relaxing on the water, sharing stories, offering advice, or simply enjoying one another’s company, those moments brought him the greatest joy. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose legacy of faith, love, kindness, and hard work will live on in all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nora Gracia; his children, Brian Gracia, Chris Gracia and his wife, Ivy, Jennifer Gracia, Jonathan Gracia and his wife, Jami, and Rachel Primeaux and her husband, Josh.
He was the proud grandfather of Madelyn, Abigail, Inara, Emily, Katelyn, Amelia, Jaden, Sawyer, each of whom brought him tremendous joy.
He is also survived by his siblings, Mary Meier Robinson, Ernest Gracia, and Rogers Gracia, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Emile was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Emile Gracia Sr. and Mary L. Gracia.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior. His faith, strength, generosity, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home. Family visitation starts at 11:30, Visitation begins at 12:00 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
