Elwood - my friend, my classmate, my football teammate - Jersey Number 31 - Right End on the 1953 - 1954 Champion Football Season - We could win the game and them push the old football bus home when it couldn't make it.-we love you Cora/Lynn...Dick Blossman----
Mr. Loyd was principal of Folsom Elementary when I moved from Mississippi to Louisiana in 1993. I had just gotten married and needed a job as a teacher. When I interviewed with Mr. Loyd, I knew that I wanted to work for him. He was kind, humorous, and straightforward with me about what he expected from me as a teacher. He hired me and I stayed there for 15 years. He was a great principal and leader, but also created a family atmosphere among the faculty and staff. I truly felt like a member of a family while there. Those 15 years were the best years of my 38 year teaching career. I will always be grateful that he brought me into the Folsom Elementary family. Thank you, Mr. Loyd. Rest in peace now.
Condolences to the family from The Appleby and The Miller family
