Elton “Kelly” Albert Garic on Thursday, July 19, 2007.
Husband of 59 years of Gloria Adele Donnow Garic; father of Ann G. Dalton and her husband John, Barbara G. Leffingwell and her husband Bruce and Lawrence “Larry” Garic and his wife Ronnie; grandfather to Melissa D. Avegno, Randy Mock, Jennifer G. Schneider, Jason Garic and Sean Garic; step-grandchildren, Alan Leffingwell, Alana L. Gilmore and Keith Belle’; he is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by twin daughters, Elizabeth Mary and Eleanor Lee Garic, ; his mother, Emma Jochim Garic; his father, Alvin E. Garic; two brothers, Alvin and Newton Garic; three sisters, Vera G. Robbillard, Thelma Famiglio and Myrtle Garic.
Age 91 years, a native of New Orleans, LA he was a resident of Mandeville, LA. A United States Army Air Corp Veteran having served the entirety of World War II in Southwest Pacific Asia, earning the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the Covington Lions Club and the D.A.V.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Catholic funeral services on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 4:00 PM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Saturday from 2:00 PM until service time.
Interment will be private at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
