Ellis C. Baldwin III's Obituary
Ellis C. Baldwin III, age 81, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Covington, Louisiana. He was born on January 4, 1944, in Belton, Texas, grew up in Pensacola, Florida, and was a 50-year resident of Terrytown, Louisiana. He bravely battled Parkinson’s for 15 years.
He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. After college, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He then moved to Louisiana where he met and married the love of his life, Susan. They were married for 56 years and raised 3 children.
Mr. Baldwin was an avid gardener who loved being outdoors. He also had a passion for photography and was a freelance photographer. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
He is survived by his loving wife Susan “Sue” Falgout Baldwin; children, Holly Baldwin Blackwell (Tom), Ellis C. Baldwin IV (Theresa), and Heather Baldwin Hines (Bobby); grandchildren, Noah Blackwell, Brianna Baldwin, Ellis “Eli” Baldwin V; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis C. Baldwin Jr. and Clara Curbow Baldwin.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public service. A private family burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
