Ellen B. Dirmann's Obituary
Ellen B. Dirmann passed away on Friday, March 21, 2008.
She was born October 7, 1916 in New Orleans to the late Alvina Dietrich and the late Joseph Dirmann, Jr. was a life resident of Abita Springs. She is survived by one son, E. Stanley Ericsen of Abita Springs and was preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph M. and Maurice J. Dirmann and one sister, Viola R. Dirmann.
Ellen was a school teacher at the Waldheim School from 1938-1941, in 1942 she began teaching at McDonough #16 and taught there until her retirement in 1953.
She was a member of the Louisiana Retired Teacher’s Association and the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 11:30 AM from St. Jane de Chantel Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St., Abita Springs, LA 70420.
Visiting hours will begin at 9:30 AM.
Interment will follow mass at the Abita Springs Cemetery.
