Ellen Crawford Horn Bangs' Obituary
Ellen Irene Crawford Horn Bangs passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 8, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bush, LA on Friday, July 9, 1926 to Vidalia Jenkins and Charley Crawford. A lifelong resident of Bush, Ellen was a Registered Nurse and retired from Southeast Louisiana Hospital in Mandeville, LA after 35 years of dedicated service.
The beloved mother of Bobby Bangs (Denise), Steven Bangs and the late Janet Horn Rudesill, she is survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother and eight sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
A wake is scheduled to take place Friday, September 12, 2014 from 6-9:00 PM with visitation on Saturday beginning at 9:00 AM.
Interment at the Crawford Cemetery in Bush will immediately follow services.
