Elizabeth Ann Schaus' Obituary
Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Schaus, passed away on Wednesday, April. 9, 2008.
Beloved wife of 63 years to Richard Lee Schaus; mother of Daniel R. Schaus and his wife Vicki and the late Leeann Schaus Fluegel; grandmother to Richard Jason Schaus and his wife Heather, John Bradley Schaus and his wife Monica and Whitney Schaus; step grandmother to Matthew Neal; and sister to Richard Head.  She is also survived by two step great-grandchildren.  Besides her daughter, she was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Lelia Hager Head and her father, Birdie Daniel Head.
Age 81 years.  A native of Wilmington, CA, she had been a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past nine years.  Betty owned and operated for several years Village Togs in Bonita, CA, she was involved with women’s fashions and did numerous fashion shows.  Once she moved to Mandeville, she became an artist and was selected artist of the month, which allowed her the privilege of exhibiting her art at the Mandeville City Hall.  She was a member of the St. Tammany Art Association, a volunteer at Lake Ponchartrain Maritime Museum and was a member of Northcross United Methodist Church.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Northcross United Methodist Church, 311 Hwy 21, Madisonville, LA  70447.
Visitation AT THE CHURCH on Friday will begin at 9:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to St. Tammany Memorial Cancer Fund, 1125 N. Causeway Blvd., Ste.2, Mandeville, LA 70471.
