Elizabeth Malone's Obituary
Elizabeth Malone, one of the elders in the community of Covington La, passed away on Sunday, December 14th. Elizabeth had the heart and soul of an artist which she expressed for many years through her activities in the Playmakers Theater in which she was a founding member since 1955. She was a gifted color artist at Ogden’s Studio for over 25 years and was also a prolific poet. She has been a member of First United Methodist Church, First Baptist Church and Trinity Evangelical Free Church.
She was the daughter of the late G.W. Malone and the late Kettye Williamson Malone. She is survived by a host of relatives, including the families of the late J.E. Drinkard of Covington, the late Bert Drinkard and the late Max Drinkard, both of Mobile, Alabama. She is also survived by cousins, Blanding Drinkard of Mobile, Alabama, George Drinkard of Covington and Raymond Pujol and family of Bunkie, Louisiana. Her gentle nature and boundless sense of humor will be missed by friends and family.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the graveside services on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 1:30 PM At Waldheim Methodist Church Cemetery, 77067 Hwy 21, Covington, LA 70435.
