Elizabeth McKeller Johnson's Obituary
Elizabeth McKeller Johnson passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was born, Saturday, May 05, 1923 in Silas, AL to Vaton and Maggie Cunningham McKeller and has been a resident of Covington for over 70 years.
The beloved wife of the late Calvin Johnson, Sr., she is survived by three sons: Jimmie Johnson (Debbie), Calvin, Jr. (Joan) and Melvin Johnson; five daughters: Evelyn Leslie (Rio), Linda Freeman (Joe), Gwendolyn Johnson (Desmond), Janice Vick (Cedric) and Phyllis Heisser (Dwight); 25 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her God child Cedric Vick, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son - Jerry Johnson; two daughters, Eloise Johnson and Carolyn Johnson; one brother, J.D. McKeller and her sister, Elvira Cox.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Greater Starlight Baptist Church, 521 W. 28th Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
A viewing is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 6-8:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours at Greater Starlight Baptist Church on Tuesday will begin at 9:30 AM.
Interment at the Wilson Cemetery in Covington, LA will immediately follow services.
