I and my friend Virginia so loved Mrs. Alford in our High School Math classes. So much so that I picked her for three years running. She was more than a math teacher to many of us - she was a friend, a confidant, and a mother for those that had none. A wonderful dear person who's memory I will cherish always. Evelyn Meyers Dixon
Mimmie will be missed at all the kids birthday parties. Susan you and your family is in our thoughts and prayers. We are sad to let her go but know that she is in a good place.
We love Mimmie and will miss her very much. Her laugh, her mystery enthusiasm, her sharp mind, her red beans and rice, her birthday cards, her Jeopardy prowess, and much, much more. We are sad, but we give thanks for the time we had together.
Mom Alford was one of a kind. She taught me much beyond math, and I am proud to have been one of her "puddin' heads". She will be greatly missed and often remembered.
