Eleanor Taylor Passman's Obituary
Eleanor “Sis” Taylor Passman was born on April 28, 1927 and died peacefully on February 1, 2007. She was a Lifelong resident of Covington.
She retired with 36 years of dedicated service to South Central Bell.
She was well known for her love of baking, sewing and gardening. Her greatest joy was sharing time doing those things with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful Mom, Grand-mom, Grandma El, Gramms, Grandmother and Aunt Sis.
She was preceded in death by her parents David and Alphasine Taylor; brothers, Emri, Roy and Pat Taylor; and sisters, Ethel McLain and Rachel Galloway.
She is survived by two brothers, Norman Taylor of Baton Rouge and Ray Taylor of Covington.
Also survived by four children, Ronald O. Sharp of Bush, Tana Gazzillo of Phoenixville, PA, Suzanne Snider and Suzette Passman both of Covington; Seven grandchildren, Michelle Stokes of New York, Kim S. Jenkins of Bush, Karri, Bobby and Whitney Snider of Covington, and Tara and Tina Gazzillo of Phoenixville, PA; four great grandchildren, Caroline and Kaylynn Jenkins, Taylor Boone and Ray Avilez.
Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her extended family at Village In The Oaks where she was happy and loved.
A Special thanks to her caregivers, Claudette, Patti, Theresa and Dorothy. The family would like to express sincere thanks to Hospice of St. Tammany and its staff for their devoted care.
We will remember her smiling, joking and laughing and treasure our times together.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of her life on Monday, February 5, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation is on Monday from 10:00 AM to service time. Interment will follow in Sharp’s Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Hospice of St. Tammany, 1202 South Tyler Street, Covington, LA 70433.
