Elaine Leonard Safar Russell's Obituary
Elaine Leonard Safar Russell passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the age of 74.
Beloved companion of Richard Easley. Wife of the late Wallace B. Russell. Loving mother of Karen Safar, Anna Parker (Jack), Mark Safar (Angela) and the late Laszlo “Louie” Safar and Michael “Mike” Safar. Daughter of the late Louella Keating Kinler and Gerald Joseph Leonard. Sister of Geraldine L. Hulin, Janice Lambert, Sheila Leonard, Sheri Schmidt and the late Mavis L. Davis. Grandmother of Jennifer M. Lange, Christopher R. Mendow, Ashley C. Stutes, Allison M. Creswell, Dillon M. Safar, Kayli N. Safar, Dalton M. Safar and Taszia Chatellier. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Saturday beginning at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Elaine to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Interment will follow in Barker McManus Cemetery.
