I so enjoyed talking to Ed .We had talked about everything from politics to his time in the service. He loved watching the kids out front by our daycare. He always got a kick out of them.He loved life for all it was worth. I will so miss him and will look over to see if he is there. But knowing he talking to some old friends in heaven.
He always called me Coach Perry from when I coached Eric . He remember a lot of the players and plays we ran . He loved watching the kids grow up and become young men and women. We have lost a fine man in Ed Peters. Please keep him and his family in your prayers .

Pawpaw Ed was one of a kind in the best way possible. To know him was to love him, and I speak for the entire Watts family when I say that. He will never be forgotten by any of us. What a joy he was to be around. Sending many prayers and much love to the Peters and Truitt families.

Linda & family, I was so sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. As I am an "Abita Girl", I have known Eddie since childhood. I have vivid memories of his family growing up. His mother was a remarkable woman and even with eleven children I remember seeing her walk to St. Janes Church every single morning. Her faith and strength showed up in all her children. The Peters' family will forever be a part of Abita's history. Eddie was a great guy and always had such a friendly and welcoming personality. He loved "Abita" and "you" for as long as I can remember. Take care and I hope your wonderful memories bring you peace at such a hard time. Lynel Moore

Will always cherish the times we spent together (whether in Dallas or Louisiana) and hearing some *amazing* stories throughout Eddie's life.

Will never forget discussing all kinds of things like planting fruit trees, latin american politics, local beers and of course "finger sandwiches."

Your love of life and spirit live on in your family and your memories will continue. Requiescat In Pace my friend.

Eric- though I never had the privilege of meeting your dad, I feel like I know him through the many wonderful stories you’ve shared over the years. Reading his obituary, it’s clear that he made a profound impact on your life, and it’s comforting to see how you carry forward his legacy through the kindness, love, and support you offer to those around you.

I’m so sorry for your loss, but I hope you find comfort in the incredible influence he had on everyone who knew him. Wishing you and your family peace during this difficult time.

God bless,

Eddie was one of the kindness, most generous and caring men I have ever known. It was an honor and privilege to be his friend. He was so interesting and I loved listening to his great stories of Abita and of his fascinating life. He and Linda made you feel so welcomed at their home and always had gifts for the children and a homemade treat or fruit to take home. He will be missed but our many memories of him will live on forever,
