Edwin Joseph Matranga, Sr. passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 in Mandeville, LA. He was born on March 7, 1948 in New Orleans, LA to the late Joseph Matranga and Alva Weisdorffer Matranga.
Eddie was the beloved husband of Christa Harris Matranga for 54 years. He was the loving father of Edwin Joseph Matranga, Jr. and his wife, Tulonna Matranga and Josh Anthony Matranga and his wife, Melissa Matranga. Eddie was the proud grandfather of Colten Matranga, Aidan Matranga, and Carson Matranga.
Eddie worked as a systems technician in telecommunications for 41 years. He retired from Avaya. He was an avid collector of antiques and especially antique telephones.
