Edward Donice "Bubby" Thompson's Obituary
Edward Donice “Bubby” Thompson, Jr., 65 of Folsom, LA died on Tuseday, November 21, 2017. A native and lifelong resident of Folsom, LA, he was born on Monday, June 23, 1952 to Donice Thompson, Sr. and Rowena Crutchfield Mestayer.
He was a lifelong resident of Bennett Bridge Road in Folsom. Bubby was a 3rd generation dairy farmer. He was the last dairy farmer in St. Tammany Parish. His passion was training working Border Collies. His dogs competed nationwide earning national recognition. He served his country in the Army National Guard during the Viet Nam era.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years - Jeanette Thompson, his daughter - Jennifer Thompson, his mother - Rowena Crutchfield Mestayer, his sister - Jo Ann Thompson (Delmar Caldwell), his brother- Dylan J. Barker. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was the proud grandson of Jim and Martha Thompson and the Rev. J.E. and Lottie Crutchfield. His father - Donice Thompson, Sr. and brother – John Harold Thompson precedes him in death.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Bogue Falaya Baptist Church Cemetery, 14278 Highway 1077 Folsom, LA 70437.
Interment in Bogue Falaya Baptist Church Cemetery Folsom, LA.
