Edward James Manix, Jr., age 70 of Covington, LA died on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA. Born, Sunday, May 04, 1947 in New Orleans, LA to Edward James Manix, Sr. and Josephine Theresa LaChute Manix.
Survived by his loving Wife of 50 years - Rosa Marie LoCicero Manix, Sons - Edward James Manix, III (Kim Marsh Manix and her children: Olivia, Michael and Matthew Cartner), John Joseph Manix (Melissa Palermo Manix), Grandchildren - Edward James Manix, IV, Sophia Marie Manix and Sam Joseph Manix, Sister - Ellen Catherine Manix Cully, and his two nieces, Joellen Griffin and June Hines, and multiple godchildren. He was predeceased by his Father - Edward James Manix, Sr., and Mother - Josephine Theresa LaChute Manix.
He attended St. Ann Elementary School, St. Aloysius High School and Loyola University in New Orleans. He served as an Aerographer Mate with the United States Coast Guard. He was employed by McDermott, Inc., was a board member of Central Asia Business Consultants, Houma Industries, Hydradyne and contracting long term with Chart Industries, New Orleans Iron.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 2 PM followed by a Memorial Service at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433.
