To the Desporte Family
It was my honor to know Eddie when I worked for Jefferson Parish Fire Dept. He was a true professional in his sales position with the Decal Company, and had a passion of landscaping for his other time.
He held the value of his family very high. He would always speak of them with a great smile of pride on his face. He was a true gentleman and trustworthy man.
I am saddened for your loss.
May God bless you in your time of need and hurt.

I was deeply saddened to hear Eddie passed on. He was my Godfather. He was so full of life. Always had a smile and a story. We had wonderful lunches together. Always fun. We had lost contact til a few years ago. I'm thankful for the visits I had with him since we got acquainted again. He always made us laugh and he always made a point of expressing how much family meant to him. I wish I saw him one more time. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

Eddie was a kind and gentle man who got things done with a smile and a follow-up. He was true to his word in all senses. Eddie is loved and will be sorely missed. All who met him, he gave a smile. Each year at the Harry's Dive Shop annual Christmas party, Eddie attended with his grandsons, his wife and his daughter. We look forward to the family continuing with his tradition. Here's a hug to all of you from all of us.
Dear Joanne and Cherie,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I have many fond memories of our times together when our children were small. Eddie was charming, funny, and the best dancer I have ever known. He will be forever in our memories.
