Mr Edmund Lee Hukill III's Obituary
Edmund Lee Hukill, III passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He was 79. He was born on June 15, 1946 in Port Allen, LA. and was a resident of Covington, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund Lee Hukill, Jr. and Sophie Killmer Hukill and his sister, Natalie Margaret Rosen. He is survived by his loving children, Cherry Richard and her husband Ted Richard, Parris Amedee and Edmund Lee Dax Hukill. His grandchildren, Carliss Guidry and her husband Jacob Guidry, Memphis Kronlage and Canon Kronlage. And his great grandchild, Brennon Chenevert. Edmund graduated from Crowley High School where he played basketball and football; after high school he received a scholarship to Tulane University and then went to Northwestern State University of Louisiana where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. During the summers between college semesters, he worked as a deckhand for Ingram Boats on the Mississippi River. After his college graduation, he began his career with Offshore Logistics in Lafayette, LA. At Offshore Logistics he was based in Singapore, Scotland and Alaska. He then returned to New Orleans, LA and was employed by Gulf Fleet Marine and later was employed by Cotomar. He established Navigare International. As a young man he loved fishing and hunting. His favorite interests now were watching sports, especially the Saints and being very helpful and generous to all of his family and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 2:00 pm at E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA and the visitation will begin at 12:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
