Skip was born in New Orleans, LA April 18 1947. He was the youngest son of Lillian Shepherd Pecot and Eugene Pecot; his late siblings were Lionel (Butch) and Richard (Pops) Pecot. Skip served in the Louisiana Army National Guard as a motor transport operator, field mechanic, and an artillery cannoneer. Skip’s greatest life work was the loving family he created. In the late 50’s he met Beverly Windom in the lower ninth ward of New Orleans. Later marring the love of his life and spending 54 years together. He had two children, Eddie Pecot and Michelle Pecot Tastet. Skip cherished his six grandchildren Edmond E. Pecot, Rhen Pecot Sr., Gabrielle Tastet, Glendelynn Pecot, Lauren Tastet, and Chasey Pecot. He was also crowned with two great grandchildren, Brad Hannon and Rhen Pecot Jr. whom both had a special place in his heart.
