Edith Edna LeBlanc Huffman's Obituary
Edith Edna “Edie” LeBlanc Huffman, aged 69 years, on Monday, April 13, 2009.
Beloved mother of Heather Huffman Doolittle, revered grandmother of Rylan Elisabeth and Robert Thomas “Tripp” Doolittle, III, dearest friend and sister of Dale LeBlanc Burgess, also survived by son-in-law Robert T. Doolittle, Jr., brother-in-law William J. Burgess, and nephew Joseph Edgar Burgess. Preceded in death by her husband, James W. Huffman and parents Joseph Edgar LeBlanc, Jr. and Edith Edna Root LeBlanc.
Edith was born in Metairie on Nov. 22, 1939 and resided for the last 31 years in the Mandeville-Covington area. For several years she had a school of dance in Metairie. She worked as a bank manager for many years in the Mandeville-Covington area. Recently, she worked with the St. Tammany Council on Aging. Edith frequently entertained the patients at Pontchartrain Heath Care Center with a medley of songs.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at noon on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation from 10 am – noon.
Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
