Edith Josephine Crowe Wehrman's Obituary
Edith Josephine Crowe Wehrman passed away on Friday, September 19, 2008. She was born September 10, 1922 in Keezletown, VA to the late Marvin Watts and Edna Argenbright Crowe and has been a resident of Mandeville since 2003.
The beloved wife of Kenneth E. Wehrman, she is survived by two daughters, Teresa Jo Knight and Keni Lynn Dillon; one son, Edward B. Wehrman; her sister, Irene C. Dean and she was “Grammy” to eight grandchildren: Sidney “S.E.”, Patrick, Jessie Jo, Brass, Chance, Phoebe, Samantha and Olivia. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph W. and William L. Crowe and her sister, Reba C. Hall.
Josephine served her country in WW II from 1944-1946 as a flight attendant with the Woman’s Air Corps (WAC). She was also a dedicated member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Mandeville, LA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM from St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Dr., Mandeville, LA 70471. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with a reception following services.
Funeral Services will also be held at 11:00 AM from Keezletown United Methodist Church in Keezletown, VA.
Interment will follow at the Keezletown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Timothy United Methodist Church or to the Keezletown United Methodist Church.
