Edgar Bonaventure's Obituary
Edgar J. "Nego" Bonaventure Sr., 90, a native of Oscar, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2011.
He is survived by his two daughters, Susie Bourriague and Wilda Lopez and son-in-law, Marcus Lopez; seven grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Edgar "Noonie" Bonaventure Jr.; parents, Paul and Alma Bonaventure; two sisters and two brothers.
Service will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland, of which he was a member, Thursday, May 19, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Gregory Daigle Burial in the church cemetery.
"Nego" devoted time and enjoyed family ad friends. He was a World War II veteran, loving father, avid hunter, gardener, former and retired from the Pointe Coupee Parish Police Jury Maintenance Department.
