Earl "Pat" Patrick Ward's Obituary
Earl Patrick "Pat' Ward, 68, passed into the loving arms of his Savior on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010.
He is survived by his beloved wife Eva Hall Ward, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage, loving father of Kevin Ward and wife Paula, Stephen Ward and wife Laura and Ashley Ward Gernon and husband Jeff. He is also survived by six grandchildren Benjamin, Samuel and Anna Ward; Gabrielle, Parker and Colton Gernon, a step-grandchild Ryan Lipps, his brother David Ward and sister in law Betty, brother in law Edgar “Pepper” Hall and his aunt Thelma Rabalais. Son of the late Milton and Vera Ward.
Pat was a decorated veteran of the US Navy who served during the Vietnam War. A successful businessman, he owned an offshore services company until his retirement in 1998. During retirement, Pat pursued his numerous artistic talents by writing a novel and a screenplay, building homes, a wooden sailboat and furniture for family members. A well known local artist, working in multiple mediums he opened “A Frame Art” in Madisonville. An avid supporter of the art community, he founded “Art for Madisonville”.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday May 22, 2010 at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1 North Marigold Drive, Covington, LA 70433. Interment will be private.
