Earl Joseph Grego's Obituary
Earl Joseph Grego, a graduate of Peters High School and Loyola University with honors, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013 at the age of 85.
Beloved husband of 36 years to Frances Waguespack Babin Grego. Loving father of Sandy Grego Carlton and Ellen Grego Loga and step-father of Ken Babin. Son of the late Joseph A. Grego and Ruth Lascola Grego. Brother of the late Joseph D. Grego and Doris Grego Raimer.
Mr. Grego was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Covington for the past 26 years and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He retired from the NOPD after 20 years of service in 1971 and from the U.S. Customs in 1983.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post in Covington, the American Legion in Metairie, the New Orleans FOP, Lifetime member of the LPOA, the MPOA, past member of the New Orleans Concert Band and Cross Keys.
Services will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Mr. Grego to be made to the ASPCA because of his love for his puppy named Minnie.
