One By One, My Brother
One by one, tears roll down my face,
Seeing you residing in a far better place.
As I close my eyes and see your face,
It’s then, I feel a warm embrace.
That contagious smile so wide,
it brings tears to my eyes.
Trying so hard not to cry;
all of this pain I can’t hide.
Somehow, you always knew just what to say
to those of us having a bad day.
