My heartfeld sympathy is extended to you and your family at this time. I was born in Talisheek, but left there at age 18 after finishing school in Covington. I vaguely remember Dumart but cannot recall his parents' names.
To the Uncle Dumart Family,
I would like to extend my deepest sympathies and condolences for the passing of your loved one. I love him too. He was a really neat man. I will always remember him playing "Boogie Woogie" on the piano and never letting us forget that he was (then) 175 pounds of "rompin stompin romance"!!! I know that he will be missed by all of you as he will be missed by me. Please take care and know that you are all in my prayers!!!

I worked with D.E. at the Riley County Courthouse. Our whole family enjoyed his friendship over the years. I will always remember our card games and the great dish he made: corn bread and beans. Our deepest sympathy to his whole family....he will be missed. Sincerely, Stan and Sue McNickle

Parker was a find man and a wonderful neighbor. At first he had small problems with my dog Honey Do, but he soon charmed her over. They became good friends. She would take long walks with him and Bertha.If doggies go to heaven,maybe Parker will catch up with her,it's a good thought, he really liked animals. Those Raccoons around 8th ave.are going to miss him.

I had the pleasure of working with Dumart at the Wackenhut Corp. in 1967/68 prior to my 27 year police career with NOPD, retiring as a Lieutenant, and 6 years as a Federal Court Security Officer (CSO)/Eastern District of Louisiana. He was a wonderful guy with a great humor. He introduced me to his long-time Army buddy, "Frenchy" Denoux who was with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office Crime lab. I later worked with Frenchy's son Danny on the NOPD.
I'm glad he lived a long life, he well deserved it. God's speed, Dumart.

On behalf of my family we were saddened to read of your dads death. Growing up around your family we have many memories of time spent together.
Your dad was a great guy...had fun but I always remember the respect I had for him.
