Dorothy Kelleher Simon's Obituary
Dorothy Kelleher Simon passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2009. She was born January 5, 1915 in New Orleans to the late John J. and Grace Hamilton Kelleher and has been a resident of Mandeville, LA since 1982.
The beloved wife of the late Eugene Simon, she is survived by one daughter, Linda Simon Weber and her husband William; one son, Eugene K. Simon and his wife Ellen; five grandchildren: Kathleen E. Simon, Eugene K., Jr. (Marji), Jeanne S. Burvant (Johnny), Lisette S. Gros (Dale) and Charles G. Simon (Kerri). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
A graduate of Sophie Wright High School in New Orleans, Dorothy was a dedicated volunteer with the American Red Cross during World War II and continued her service for many years thereafter.
Private family memorial services were held on Saturday, April 11, 2009.
