Dorothy Jean Patin Henry's Obituary
Dorothy Jean Patin Henry passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2007 after a long battle with cancer at the age 60.
Beloved wife of Ronald A. Henry. Mother of Brad Cleveland Henry and Lori Henry Magee. Mother-in-law of Wesley Magee. Cherished “Granny” of James, Heather, Abbie, Anna and Emily Magee. Sister of Cleve Patin. Daughter of the late Cleve Patin and Dot Patin.
A native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Covington, LA for the past 35 years. A teacher at St. Peter School for 6 years and Abita Springs Elementary School for 22 years. She was a member of The Order of Discalced Carmelites Secular OLDS, Neo-Catechumenal Way, RCIA, RCIC, Charismatic Prayer Ministry, St. Peter Society and a faithful Eucharistic Adoration adorer. She received the Order of St. Louis Medallion from the Arch-diocese of New Orleans. She was a faithful servant of the Lord. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation on Tuesday at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, AT THE CHURCH from 10:00 AM until service time.
Interment in Roselawn Cemetery, 4045 North St., Baton Rouge, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital are preferred.
