Dorothy Ella Gassen's Obituary
Dorothy “Tudy” Delatte Gassen passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 26, 2023. She was 83. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dale Gassen, Sr., her daughter, Paula Jerilyn Gassen, her son James Dale Gassen, Jr. She is survived by her children, Linda Tyrney (Archie), Jeff Gassen (Kathy), Michael Gassen (Linda), David Gassen (Leslie), Steven Gassen (Holly), Paul Gassen (Carrie) and her siblings, Robert Delatte, Jr. (Carolyn), Elizabeth Gingell and her daughter in law Susan Gassen and also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley, Skipper, Amy, Robbie, Allison, Meaghan, Tyler, Wyatt, Kelsie, Haley, Ava, Corey, Katlin, Kayman, Zach, Charles, Kaley, Mallory, Jake, Hannah and her great-grandchildren, Sophie, Carter, Caroline, Madelyn, Gabrielle, Beckham, Zoe, Myers, Landon, Eleanor, Allie, Hannah, Bryson, Carson, Ella, Declan, Griffin, Charlie, Channing, Graham, James, Bennett, Carson, Grant, and Jenna.
She native of New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of Covington, LA. She was employed with Walmart for 22 years in the shoe department. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and traveling to Disney World, and was an avid Saints Fan. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 2:00 PM at E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Street, Covington, LA and the visitation will begin at 12:00 pm until service time. Burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
