Mary and Joe so sorry for your loss. Yโall will be in my Prayers.
I've already left a heartfelt message to the family about Dottie, but there's so very much more to say. Dottie was a person full of life, love and passion for her family, friends, cooking and football, especially the New Orleans Saints. I have memories of Dottie, her parents and family every since I was a very little girl when they lived next door to my parents...too many stories; then Dot & Sid moved down the street from us in Chalmette and even more memories were made. Some of the best and funniest were the family fish frys, talks and laughs about things we were going through. Dottie always made you feel special... she made her special hot tamales for me for my first visit back after Katrina. Dot sure could cook, she also made her delicious crawfish bisque and share it with me on several occasions. She had no idea how much that meant to me. She was a wonderful friend to my parents, who also loved her dearly and now they are all gathering in Heaven to once again share their lives, but for eternity from now on. I will miss talking to her and updating each other on our families and reminiscing on the wonderful past we shared together. I loved her so very much cause she was so much a part of our family, from my grandmother's time till now. Dottie was one of God's most loving and caring people he created. As I said before, heaven now has the Head Cheerleader for the New Orleans Saints.... look out SUPER BOWL, cause the Saints are coming and Dot's going to be leading them there when the Saints go marching in!!! Love and miss you Dottie
I was saddened to hear of Dots passing. I so enjoyed their stories. Your mom and I talked about them Saints when i visited. I could watch your mom and dad interacting for hours. What a love story, like the Notebook. She will be missed but never forgotten. She was a beautiful soul. Her legend will go on. She recently told me she was ready when the Lord would take her. She said she had a good life. We also talked about the great grandchildren. She was glad to meet the latest one Khloe. I know she is in heaven and looking down at us and saying. don't be sad because she was so blessed while on this earth. She will never be forgotten. She was a hoot!
Love and miss her
Cindy
