Dorothy "Dot" Gilley Cangelosi's Obituary
Dorothy “Dot” Gilley Cangelosi passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15, 2023 in Covington, LA surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded by her husband, Ralph Cangelosi, Sr., her parents, Valentine and Ada Stonaker Gilley, her daughter-in-law, Deborah Coates Cangelosi, and her 7 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Ralph Cangelosi, Jr., Katherine Cangelosi Autin (Travis), Vincent Cangelosi (Marcia) and Marilyn Cangelosi Hughes (Mark) and her grandchildren, Ralph Cangelosi, III, Michael Cangelosi (Jessica), Michelle Bonano (Jonathan), Mark Autin, Thad Autin (Margo), Jonathan Autin (Candance), Nicole Cangelosi (Chris), Brittney Campbell (Jonathon), Mark Hughes, Jr. and also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Dot was an accomplished artist and an internationally trained hairstylist. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and had resided in Bush, LA since 1983. She was a member of the Metairie Art Guild and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 2:00 Pm at E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA and the visitation will begin at 12:00 pm until service time. Entombment to follow in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum.
