Dorothy Hartley Calderone's Obituary
Dorothy Hartley Calderone passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, surrounded by her family. Dorothy was a native of New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Lacombe, LA since 1961. She was a Real Estate Broker working with Earnest Corporation/ Beau Chene and ultimately retired with Coldwell Banker. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lacombe, LA and was also attending at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mandeville, LA. She was the Ultimate volunteer in her community: organizing Lacombe’s Chamber of Commerce and was first President, One of original board members of Bayou Lacombe Crab Festival, St. Tammany tourist commission to name just a few.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore Calderone, and her parents, Elwood and Dorothy Hartley, Sr. She is survived by her children: Anthony Calderone (Robin), Rick Calderone (Pauline), Terri Lodge (John), Greg Calderone (Dyanna), David Calderone and Chris Calderone (Gabi), and siblings: Elwood “Buddy” Hartley, Jr., Lorraine Callaway, Betty Kirkman (George), Cathy Cucinello (Nick), Pat Allen (Rick) and John Hartley (Mannie) and also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great - great - grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 12:00 pm from Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street, Mandeville, LA and the visitation will begin at 10:30 am until mass time at the church. A burial will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA.
