Dorothy Bachemin's Obituary
Dorothy Lee Bachemin, 88 years old, a resident of Christwood Retirement Community in Covington, passed away June 1, 2011.
Her parents were Howard A. and Mattie Lee Ricks Schilling. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Martin Bachemin, and sister Artemis Husser. She is survived by nieces Melida Brick of Ponchatoula, La and Nita Murphy of Taos, New Mexico; great nephew Jordan Husser of New Orleans and sister-in-law and special friend Lois Dowling of Hammond. Chuck Arny of New Orleans and Martin Redmond were special nephews among other friends and relatives who will miss her.
Dorothy was a Dietitian and Associate Professor at Southeastern Louisiana University early in her career. Later she was a state Dietary Specialist in Louisiana schools. She loved growing roses, and quilting.
Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, June 4, 2011at 11:00 AM with visitation on Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time.
Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
