Dorothea Burkart Cazaubon's Obituary
Dorothea Burkart Cazaubon, 96 of Covington, LA passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017. She was born on February 12, 1921 in New Orleans, LA to the late Joseph Burkart and the late Annette Ritter.
She is survived by her two children Paulette Cazaubon Richard (Jules) and Michael Cazaubon (Pam); her six grandchildren Adrienne Fujiwara, Jules “Jay” Richard, IV, Paul Richard, Andree Grant, James Cazaubon, and Nicholas Cazaubon; and her four great-grandchildren Matthew Grant, Kathryn Fujiwara, Karlo Fujiwara, and Phoebe Richard.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul Arthur Cazaubon, Jr., her parents, and her siblings Thelma B. Cazaubon, Hilda B. Joyner, Earl Burkart, Clarence Burkart, Edward Burkart, Floyd Burkart, and Daniel Burkart.
Dorothea was raised in New Orleans and attended Sophie B. Wright High School. After graduation, she worked for D.H. Holmes, until her marriage to Mr. Cazaubon. After leaving D.H. Holmes she devoted her time to being a loving wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by all of her family.
A private funeral service was held to honor the lives of Mr. and Mrs. Cazaubon at an earlier date.
