Beloved wife of the late Maurice D. Galatas, Sr. and Milton P. Schaeffer. Mother of Sandra Kyle, Patricia McDougal and Milton “Butch” Schaeffer, Jr. Mother-in-law of Patrick McDougal, Kathleen Schaeffer and the late James P. Kyle. Sister of Beryl Sallinger and of the late John Nelson and Elvira Fortier. Half-sister of the late George Nelson, Theodore Nelson, Hersene Smith and Veronica Romano. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Aged 89 years. A native of New Orleans, LA, a former longtime resident of Chalmette, LA and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 6 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 1:00 PM from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Monday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment in Mandeville Cemetery.
