“Meme” Doris Marks
To see her smiling face was all you needed to make your day.
I was honored to meet Meme through our precious daughter in law, Katelyn. Meme was such a beautiful, kind, hospitable, generous and loving lady.
She made me feel welcome and part of the family from day one. She loved to talk and mostly about Katelyn and how much she loved her and how proud she was of her beautiful granddaughter.
The one memory I had of her that impressed me so much that I started a collection for my granddaughter’s as well;
Meme had a room dedicated to Katelyn and the dolls they had. Meme read books to her and had a doll to represent the book or a country they studied. How I loved the interaction she and Katelyn had. She thanked Dana (Katelyn’s mom) for allowing them to have that special time together. I loved seeing them together and see that special bond they had. What a treasure they had in each other.
Meme was very special to me because she loved everybody. When she would see me, she treated me like a very special friend. Oh Meme, I doubt there is anyone in this world that is accepting and loving as you were and still are since you loved Jesus and are living with him in heaven.
One fine Morning Meme, I will see you again too and what a wonderful day that will be!!
I love you, dear Meme.
