Lockhart Jr. He was even more proud of his 15 great grandchildren.
He could build anything, fix anything and grow anything. He did all of that with what started as a weekend getaway in Covington in the early 70’s. It would eventually become his forever home. He was a true craftsman, building that home from the slab up. He reluctantly even built furniture which was truly beautiful. He loved being with family and friends enjoying the outdoors. His favorite things were simple. Cold beer, hot boiled seafood and would never turn down a good bourbon, or two…just don’t ever bruise it by adding ice!!
Following a graveside service on Friday February 14th at 11:00 AM in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana 70433, a Celebration of Life will be held at his home sharing memories and some of his favorites. Boiled shrimp, cold beer, laughter and love. He will also be saluted by his Henry “Golden Boy” Rifle. At which he can be heard reciting one of his favorite sayings! “Beautiful, just Beautiful”. We were all so blessed to have him in our lives. Only wish we would have had more time. We love and miss you so much Nonnie!
