Donna Lee Rapaport Heier's Obituary
Donna Lee Rapaport Heier, at the age of 83, entered eternal rest peacefully on early Tuesday morning, April 18, 2023, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 25, 1940, to David Benjamin Rapaport and Mildred Janet Carp Rapaport.
She is survived by her loving children Baron Desmond (wife, Melissa) and David Heier. Donna was the proud grandmother of Richard Mitchel Fuentes (wife, Dayami), Nicholas Heier (wife, Crystal), Jesse Heier, Mark Desmond (wife, Cathy), Alissa Desmond, Seth Desmond, Cecelia Rantis, and Ronnie Rantis, and great grandmother to Audrey, Sienna, and Ethan Fuentes and Matilda, Emilia, Miles, and Lucas Heier. She will be dearly missed by a host of wonderful lifelong friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her loving son Daryl Rantis and daughter Deborah Renee Medcraft, parents David Benjamin Rapaport and Mildred Janet Carp Rapaport and brother, Corporal Erwin G. Rapaport.
A native of Chicago, and proud resident of Covington for over 34 years, Donna graduated from Miami Beach High School, in Miami Beach, FL, in 1956. Donna was an outstanding tax preparer for Heier Financial Services for over 40 years.
Donna was a fun loving and adventurous person. She enjoyed experiencing the zest of life through travel and the arts. However, her true passion was spending time with her loving family and friends. Donna was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed. Her ambitious spirit and independence will continue to inspire all those who knew and loved her.
