Donald "Rob" Robertson Owen III's Obituary
Donald “Rob” Robertson Owen III, at the age of 54, entered eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, August 15, 2023, at Peristyle at Beau West surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, on April 28, 1969, to Donald Robertson Owen II and Mary Catherine Cooke.
He is survived by his adoring daughters Peyton Owen and Edie Owen of New Orleans, and their mother Mary Carol Chenet, as well as his father Donald Robertson Owen II and his loving mother Catherine Cooke Balles. Rob was a caring sibling of Dee Dee Lantzy. He will be dearly missed by many.
Rob was a proud resident of New Orleans for 40 years. He attended Loyola University, and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1994. He was an outstanding Entrepreneur in the Arts industry, owning N.O. Surf Shop with Mary Carol, writing and illustrating SpyBoy, Cheyenne, and 96 crayons, making short films, appearing on the radio with the Brainstormers, and building his one of a kind airbnb in Bayou Saint John.
Rob was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. He enjoyed spending time surfing, skateboarding, canoeing, boxing, and drawing. However, his true passion was spending time with his loving family and friends. Rob was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His jovial spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memories of his cherished friends and family until they meet him again.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at the church at Hotel Peter and Paul, 2317 Burgundy, New Orleans 70117, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, starting at 12PM till ending time 1PM.
