I was trying to compete with Don at Franco's, and of course, I didn't do so well. My second attempt caused me some severe pain in my lower back. Don said, " you better see a doctor". Went to Tim at Franco's for 2 weeks of therapy. Had great time at gym,sitting around looking at the pretty ladies. Don always had a smile and was so positive. We will miss him a lot. Richie Weixel
Don we will all miss you. I have been lifting weights with you for better than 15 years and you were always an inspiration. Your wisdom was always appreciated. You may not have been an absolute expert on anything but you knew a lot about everything and it was a pleasure to be your friend. May God rest you in peace.

Don had many opinions and most of them were right. I always looked fowared to seeing
him and considered him a friend. Don lived a long and strong life. I just wish he could

I met Don about four or five years ago at what many of us men members of Franco's Athletic Club call the "Coffee Table." I think Don when to the coffee table every day. My most vivid memory of him happened one Saturday morning, a day when not too many of us men went to Franco's Club. I walked in the front door just as Don was walking out. He wasn't going to stay, because none of us men were at the coffee table. But when he saw me, he did a little dance, turned around, and walked back to the coffee table with me. I was flattered, because he and I hadn't been that close of friends. Richard Moore.
