Donald Francis Haefner's Obituary
Donald Francis Haefner, 60, of Mandeville, LA, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2011.
Beloved Husband of Paula Ruth Haefner. Father of Erin Elizabeth Haefner and Lisa Maureen Haefner. Son of the late William and Jean Haefner. Brother of Maureen Haefner Tonn, and the late Barbara Haefner-Heim. Also survived by 6 nieces and nephews.
A native of Buffalo, New York and a resident of Mandeville for the last 19 years, Don was a retired geophysicist from Shell Oil Company, where he worked for 35 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA 70457.
A wake will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA.
Visitation at the funeral home will continue on Monday, September 19, 2011 from 12:00 to 1:30 PM.
Graveside services will follow the funeral mass at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Little Sisters of the Poor, www.littlesistersofthepoor.org.
