Donald Joseph Faust, Sr. on November 29, 2007.
Born in St. Louis, MO on March 24, 1929. A long-time resident of Metairie, LA and, after retirement, Waveland, MS; resided in Mandeville, LA after losing his home in Hurricane Katrina. Graduate of Loyola University, New Orleans. Retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he was a budget analyst. Served in the U.S. Army and retired as a Colonel in the 377th TSC Army Reserves in New Orleans. Member of the Knights of Columbus, Bay St. Louis, MS and the American Legion Post 77, Waveland, MS.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Suzanne Blanchard Faust. Survived by his children Donna Schindler of Metairie, LA, Donald J. Faust, Jr. of Mandeville, LA, Moira Sanborn of Brisbane, Australia, Karen Bultman of Madisonville, LA, Stephen Faust of New Orleans, and Jennifer Faust and Michelle Faust, of Los Angeles, CA; his grandchildren Amanda and Nicholas Schindler; Heidi (Faust) Drott, Kristen and Suzanne Faust; Philip and Natalie Adra; Holly and Lindsay Bultman; and Erica Faust; and his brother, Richard Faust. Don was dedicated to his family, his country, his many friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation 6-9 p.m., Monday, December 3rd at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington, LA.
Visitation 10-11 a.m. and funeral mass at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 4th at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte St. Mandeville, LA 70448.
