So sorry to receive the email notification of Don's passing. My condolences to the entire Boudreaux family. My in-laws, Betty and Ray Sievert, were neighbors of Mr. Gil Boudreaux on Prentiss Avenue. I was introduced to "Boudreaux's" when shopping for an engagement ring for their daughter, Susan, my wife. It has been a lifelong relationship with the business and it gave me a chance to meet and talk with Don. He was a fine gentleman who always made me feel important as a customer. I'm sure the family is feeling a great loss at this time, but they should be proud of the tradition/legacy that Mr. Gil and Don instilled in their children and employees who are part of the family business. My particular condolences to Tommy who I have gotten to know well over the years and who definitely has followed in his father's footsteps as a person and businessman. Don's character and characteristics have been passed down. As Don takes his place in heaven, I hope the family takes some comfort in how he was perceived by this customer. Rest in peace Don and may the entire Boudreaux family, including employees of the business, be at peace with his memory.
