A smile comes to my face each time I think of Don and Judy Dicharry. I enjoyed visiting them a few times eons ago in their apartment at the bend in the road in N. O. and I enjoyed the joy he exhibited both at the Juniorate and later in life. He gave his all in everyday living and brought laughter with him for all to enjoy life a bit more. Rest in peace, Don. Donald was such a pleasure to work with when he was with the La. State Racing Commission. Working in the environment of the race track you need a good sense of humor, in particular there was an elderly gentleman at Evangeline Downs named Mr. Roger (who spoke fluent French) would give Donald his french lesson everyday and Donald would say" that's why i come to work everyday", i can still hear that conversation and now they can continue the lesson. RIP my friend
