Donald Bayard's Obituary
Donald B. Bayard, age 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at his residence in Mandeville, LA. Born Sunday, December 20, 1925 in New Iberia, LA to the late William and Marcel Soule' Bayard.
Preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife Margaret Smerdell; son - Donald J. Bayard; grandson - Brett J. Bayard; and siblings - Dorothy and Dalton Bayard. Survived by his children - Duane Bayard Goodpasture, William B. Bayard (Barbara), Robert J. Bayard (Kathy), Margaret R. Bayard, and Maria Bayard Weimer (Stephen). Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Don was a retired Petroleum Engineer/Geologist with Chevron for 38 years. He also served as Captain of Manresa House of Retreats.
