Dolores Westcott's Obituary
Dolores Westcott, 94, of New Orleans, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on March 22, 2024.
Born on June 28, 1929, in New Orleans, she was the daughter of Walter Smith and Beulah (Montet) Smith. On March 19, 1947, she married the love of her life, Redge Westcott, Jr., whom she remained happily married to until his death in 2004.
Dolores was a homemaker, mother of four, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to caring for her family and others. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She is survived by her devoted son, Larry Westcott (Darleen), seven grandchildren, Dwayne Prosperie, Melissa Broussard, Tina Rhinehart, Angela Westcott, Melissa Landry, Jennifer Thibodaux, and Stephanie Westcott, and a slew of great-grandchildren.
Dolores was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, three of her sons, Redge Westcott, III, Michael Westcott, and Gary Westcott, her beloved parents, and her siblings, Walter Smith, Jr., Mary (Smith) Ruiz, and Donald Smith.
Dolores will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her grace, love, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services, which will be officiated by Father Charles Benoit, on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 12:00 PM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
