Dolores Sewell Cole's Obituary
Dolores Sewell Cole passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019. She was born on December 3, 1927 in Chicago, IL to the late George Sewell and the late Agnes (Nance) Sewell Hargrove.
Dolores is survived by her children Nancy Cole Wike (Greg), Linda Cole Kall (Drew), Harry A. Cole, III (Suzanne), and David A. Cole (Mitzi); eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her half-brother Ben Hargrove, Jr. and nieces and nephews.
Dolores is preceded in death by her husband Harry A. Cole, Jr., her half sister Bonnie Morrison, and her step-father Ben Hargrove, Sr.
Dolores grew up in Atlanta, GA and graduated from Wesleyan College. She met Harry when she was just 16 years old and they were married for 65 years. Dolores had varied interests and talents, but most of all loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was devout in her faith and regularly attended church. Her legacy of faithfulness will be felt through each generation.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and will resume on Thursday at 9:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Cole to be made to In Touch Ministries, P.O. Box 7900, Atlanta, GA, 30357.
