Dinah King Chelena's Obituary
Dinah King Chelena passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013 in Covington, LA. She was born June 29, 1948 in Port Arthur, TX to the late Ernest J. and Lilly Wyble King and has been a resident of Madisonville, LA since 1977.
The beloved wife of Melvin J. Chelena, she is survived by her son, Carl L. Juneau (Patricia); two step-sons, Eric D. Chelena and Todd A. Chelena (Sandra); one sister, Barbara K. Ringgold (Richard); six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass to be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 8, 2013 at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 W. Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471.
Vigil services will take place at 7:30 PM on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433. Friends may gather for the wake Thursday from 6-9 PM. Visitation before the mass on Friday at Mary Queen will begin at 10:00 AM.
Interment at St. Landry Catholic Church Cemetery in Opelousas, LA will immediately follow mass.
